Welcome to Hospice Wellington's major annual fund and awareness raising event!
The incredibly generous community of Guelph and Wellington County built Hospice Wellington lets continue to support and sustain the growth for this caring and compassionate centre of expertise in caring for the dying and bereaved.
How you can help
You are a crucial part of this event, here's how you can help.
- Walk on the day - be part of the "village" that sustains Hospice Wellington with your family, friends, neighbours or work colleagues contributing to something so meaningful - teach your kids and grand kids the true meaning of a life well lived in action.
- Collect sponsors - from your friends, family, neighbours and co-workers - talk it up! Top fundraisers receive special recognition and chances for additional prizes.
- Challenge other teams - the local branches of the RBC, Guelph Chamber of Commerce, the clinical team from Hospice Wellington get out there and show who can raise the roof on the fundraising target.
- Recruit Others - as walkers, spectators or visitors to the village fair- We love more support. Tell people about why you are walking, whose life, whose contribution and legacy you are celebrating and how excited you are. It Takes A Village...so Bring A Village!
- Encourage donations - If someone is keen to support Hospice Wellington but can't attend on the day encourage them to visit our website at www.hospicewellington.org where they can donate on-line or phone us at 519-836-3921, or better yet, drop by our offices at 795 Scottsdale Drive, Guelph.
- HAVE FUN! Hospice is about living life to the end and beyond - this may seem like a hard topic but we LOVE what we do because we know how precious great support can be and how learning to live your whole life no matter how close the end is a great accomplishment we can all hope for!
