Evidence of volunteering and other not for profit work is preferred; training in Hospice palliative care is also an advantage.

Our residential team joined us in May 2010. We do have a need for occasional skilled casual staff particularly Registered Nurses. We may only offer the opportunity to work once every two months so flexibility and high clinical expertise in hospice palliative care are essential. The best way to discover if you like this kind of work environment is to come on a student or work placement or volunteer. Volunteers must undertake the 30 hours of Hospice training prior to working in direct care roles.

Hospice Wellington is seeking an energetic, dedicated and creative Resource Development Coordinator. With a high profile and growing organization, we need the passion and skills of someone who can bring professional commitment and heart to enable us to deliver our vision of outstanding leadership in the hospice palliative care sector.
The Resource Development Coordinator will be responsible for developing and growing donor capacity as well as maintaining and nurturing relationships with existing donors and sponsors. You need to be a people person who is comfortable public speaking, creating rapport and have superb organizational skills that show an exceptional eye for detail. You must be able to efficiently and effectively use Income Mananger to collect and manage donor relations.
