Donations

Hospice Wellington is a non-profit organization that depends almost entirely on voluntary donations from individuals like you to provide compassionate care to clients and families facing a life-threatening illness and bereavement.

Hospice Wellington receives money from caring members of the community who respond to fundraising campaigns, make regular donations, memorial gifts and through planned giving.

There are a number of ways you can make a gift to Hospice Wellington:

  1. Make a donation now

    Help us be there when the phone rings. Every day our phone rings with families who are in need, a need that is growing in our community. In 2004, our 350 volunteers helped over 780 clients with over 18,000 hours of service. This was made possible in part of because of donations from special friends like you. Please take a moment now and donate $25, $50, $100, or any amount that you can afford to give.

    Hospice Wellington is a registered Canadian charity. You will therefore receive a tax receipt for any donation over $15 for an individual or $25 for a family.

    Giving is Easy: There are four convenient ways to donate to Hospice Wellington.

    By Mail: To make your donation by mail please complete the printable donation form and mail it to the address on the donation form.

    By Fax: Please complete the printable donation form and fax it to 519.836.2154 (Credit Cards only)

    By Phone: Call Hospice Wellington at 519.836.3921. Please have your VISA, MasterCard or American Express card handy.

    In Person: Drop by the office at 795 Scottsdale Drive (at Kortright), Guelph ON. or 392 Main Street, North, Mount Forest ON.

  2. Monthly Donations

    Hospice Wellington offers the convenience of becoming a monthly supporter. By spreading your donation over the course of a year, you can help provide Hospice Wellington with a reliable source of funding to ensure the continuation of quality care to clients and their families. Becoming a monthly sponsor is as easy a providing your credit card information (VISA, MasterCard or American Express) and your donation will be withdrawn automatically each month.   3. Memorial Gifts

    A gift in memory of someone special is a wonderful way to say that you care. Memorial donations can be made at all Wellington County Funeral Homes or directly through Hospice Wellington. Notification of your gift is sent and you will receive a tax receipt. Please complete the printable donation form and mail or fax it to the address/number listed on the form.

  4. Special Celebration Donations

    Do something unique to honour a friend or family member's birthday, wedding, anniversary, retirement or other special event. Hospice Wellington will send a card on your behalf acknowledging your donation. You will receive a tax receipt acknowledging your donation. Please contact us for details.

  5. Planned Giving

    A planned gift is tailored to your personal and financial situation. Planned gifts are designed to maximize benefits to the both the donor and to Hospice Wellington.

  6. Will Bequests

    Generally, a Charitable Bequest can be established by stating in your Will that you wish to leave one or more of your assets to a charitable organization. A Will bequest is a way to support the ongoing work of Hospice Wellington while minimizing your estate's tax liability. A charitable will bequest can be in cash, securities, real estate or other tangible personal property. Hospice Wellington recommends that you consult your lawyer or estate planner regarding Will bequests.
