Hospice Wellington demonstrates a commitment to excellence in palliative care that is delivered by our team members who combine their skills and take a true holistic approach in their care. The Hospice Wellington team includes palliative care providers, community health care professionals, administrators and dedicated volunteers. Our Hospice team has specialized training and skills to put the client and their family gently at the centre of care. Our 10- bed residence and community support services provide support in every aspect at the end-of-life.
Hospice Wellington is a registered charity that has been providing excellent palliative and bereavement supports in the Guelph and Wellington county communities for over 30 years. There are no costs to our clients associated with any of our services. This includes care in our residential facility and our community programs.
Our Residential Facility
Hospice Wellington has a 10-bed residence to provide palliative care for those who are at the end-of-life. Our expert and compassionate team is here 24/7 to care for you and your family with the dignity and respect you deserve. Residents and their families have the opportunity to be supported by our hospice community services.
Our at-home setting feels warm and cozy and is a tranquil space for families. One family member whose Mom passed away at Hospice says she is forever grateful for the “journal in every room, the quiet spaces for her teens, spare phone chargers, family time at the dinner table, books and music for support, beautiful gardens, fresh homemade apple crisp. All the little touches that make such a big difference.”
Our Community Services
We offer community palliative supports through onsite programming, which includes respite care and individual assessment in the home, because not all of our clients can come to our facility. Our circle of care also extends beyond our clients to include caregivers and the bereaved. Our support model for residential and community programming includes integrated wellness, onsite one-to-one support, adult group programming, and art therapy. The following programs are available to clients in the community, as well as to those who have been supported by our 10-bed residential facility.
