Bequest in your Will – The most common and easiest way to make a planned or legacy gift is a bequest in a will. A bequest can significantly reduce the tax payable on your final income tax return and leave more funds for your benefactors. Your lawyer can help ensure that your wishes are followed.

Life Insurance, RRSPs and RRIFs – Gifts of a new or existing life insurance policy can be made naming Hospice Wellington as the beneficiary. This support builds towards a sizeable gift in the future by making relatively small premium payments today. Hospice Wellington can also be named as the beneficiary of a RRSP or RRIF.

We are also appreciative of items to supplement the care we provide and to make our space more comfortable.

The most helpful is grocery gift cards – they are easy to store and can be used when we have the most need.

Here is a list of some other useful items:

Small bottles (individual sized) of hand sanitizer.

Beverages - tea, coffee, Coffee Keurig cups, juice boxes, gingerale/cola, bottled water, etc.

Food - butter/margarine, shortening, soups/soup broths, cheese, eggs, beans, chocolate/caramel/peanut butter chips, nuts, candied/dried fruit, cocoa powder, coconut, fruits, vegetables, individually wrapped snack foods, etc.

Kitchen Supplies - ziplock bags, Finish Powerball dishwasher soap/Jet Dry, etc.

Other supplies - white table cloths (54” x 120”), AA/AAA batteries, bird seed for our eco-friendly feeders, magazine subscriptions, etc.

Small personal deodorants for men and women, small personal shaving creams.

With a gift over $10,000, you will also be acknowledged on our Lifetime of Giving Wall at Hospice Wellington.
